I second your taste in musical votes!

I've just watched once, but I was excited to hear Stars playing in the background. But not exciting enough to ever watch the show again...

The best use of music is when the musical mood really enhances the scene, and you want to hear more of the song. Usually that means that the scene has a high emotional content, which Vampire Diaries seems to lack.

Hi Mat,
Not a problem - That's something I would love to do - maybe in a setting where people had access to computers so that we could, in a very applied way, actually setup accounts and get sorted using the tools hands-on...

I'll check for interest and see what I can do for facilities if there is interest...

Hi Mike, I really enjoyed meeting you and getting all your insights about social media. It seemed like there were so many questions we could have gone on for hours! We may have to have a Part 2 session once everyone has taken your advice and become more connected!

You know, I think I was a bit too harsh. It stands to reason that the first big wave would be so focused on exploring limits and opportunities.

It reminds me of an old radio-drama with product placement all over the place; Testing the audience response and learning how to get the most out of it.

Still drives me bananas, but maybe in 50 years people will rebroadcast old twitter threads and we'll feel that same sense of nostalgia...

OK - I did just come across one good comment on CBC's story about Vancover looking at a water-wagon to replace bottled-water:

"Linda Tanaka, artistic director of this weekend's Vancouver Folk Music Festival, says they would embrace the idea."

Embracing a wagon would be tankless.

Heh,

I flip between loving how ridiculous they can get, and hating how ridiculous they've become.

Recently I took part (a tiny part) in a rapid-response team to an issue. Armed with the key messages I posted comments and tried to get onto a phone-in show.

I really did fully support the side of the issue I was lobbying for, and I tried to be truly engaged with my commenting rather than just blasting messaging - but it opened my eyes to how degraded the discussion has become.

But it's so true. It's so easy for me to write this comment that there need be no content.
